Common questions
What is MCP?
The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard that lets AI clients connect to external tools. If your AI app supports MCP, you can add RefereeGPT as a tool server and use it directly in your conversations.
Do I need Pro to use the API?
Yes. API access is an add-on to the Pro plan. You need an active Pro subscription first, then you can add API access separately.
What sports does the API cover?
The API currently focuses on football (soccer) Laws of the Game according to IFAB. Coverage for other sports available in RefereeGPT is planned for future releases.
How many API calls can I make?
100 calls per day across all tools, with generate_quiz limited to 20 per day. Counters reset at midnight UTC.
Can I have multiple API keys?
Yes. You can create up to 3 active keys — useful if you use RefereeGPT in multiple clients. You can revoke or roll keys at any time.
