What must the goalkeeper do when a penalty is being taken?
The goalkeeper must have at least one foot on (or in line with) the goal line when the ball is kicked. They may move along the goal line before the kick. If they move off the line and the penalty is missed, it must be retaken.
What happens if both teams encroach during a penalty?
If both the attacking and defending teams have players who encroach, the kick is retaken regardless of the outcome.
Can the kicker feint during the run-up to a penalty?
A feint during the run-up is permitted. However, once the run-up is complete, the kicker cannot stop and wait for the goalkeeper to commit. This would be an infringement and an indirect free kick would be awarded.
